My name is Liesl Clark and I have been invited to document and photograph the upcoming trip to Fiji in February 2016. This mission has been organized by the Volunteer Health Professionals and is led by Dr. Terry Schmunk and his team. This group of health care individuals intends to aid in the develpment and support of primary medical, dental and preventive health care systems in the village of Tiliva which is on the Island of Kadavu in Fiji. In addition to my role as photojournalist, I would like to give something to the local Fijians related to the work I am doing there.
While performing my daily photography assignments for the VHP using my regular camera and gear, I hope to take pictures of people across the Island and give them BACK to each person as a small token of friendship. For practical purposes, the best way to accomplish this would be to purchase a Polaroid camera and adequate amounts of film which result in immediate and fun photos!
It would mean so much to me if you could donate to this project. I intend on making my final purchase of camera and film by January 15. (Please note, any donations that are above and beyond the needs of this specific project will be given to VHP)
