Picture Judeth A Millionaire

A fundraiser for Judeth Van Hamm

If 10,000 people give $100, my mother could be a millionaire. And if you know Judeth Van Hamm, you know that's exactly the kind of thinking that has helped her start a museum , save a carousel , and protect a wetland* in Hull, Massachusetts.

A million dollars is a lot to ask. On the day last week her partner of thirty years, Michael Connelly, passed away, I asked her how she was set for money. She explained it was tight, and ended with, "Picture me a millionaire."

Imagine what Judeth Van Hamm will do with a million dollars. Right now, she has some unexepected expenses in the thousands**, and every gift is huge. We don't really expect to hit a million dollars, but why not have a little fun in the midst of our grief?

Please give, and share this 'GoFundMom.' Former students, visitors to Hull, and of course long time residents who might be interested in making another one of Judeth's impossible visions come to life, this is your opportunity!

About this fundraising campaign:
All funds will go to Judeth Van Hamm (minus GoFundMe's fees). If you would like to avoid those fees and send a check directly to her, please do so. This campaign was put together by her son Blake . The first $2500 will be matched by an anonymous donor, so early donations count double!

Addendum from Judeth

When I came up with the idea for this fundraiser, I asked my mom if it was ok. After some deliberation, she agreed. These were her edits to the preview link I sent over for her to check out, texted from the hospital bed where she is recovering from pneumonia:
*"'Estuary land,' wetlands are already protected."
** "Talk over what the money is for, unexpected household budget gaps—an increase in expenses and a decrease in income—that is turning a miracle into a miracle."
