Many of you know Picklin or follow him online! He was a little foster baby that I had from APA that I ended up adopting. Before adoption, he was diagnosed and medicated for hydrocephalus, a brain condition causing a build up of fluid on the brain. After adoption, he now has had a few other possibilities for diagnosis, all of which require an MRI of brain & spine. They are no longer certain about the hydrocephalus diagnosis.

 

While showing some signs of mental dullness, he also was born with front leg deformities and overall muscle weakness (could be related to whatever condition he might have). I've been hoping to get his MRI done soon but the cost was overwhelming, and it won't cover any potential treatment (depending on what it reveals).

 

He has been an absolute trooper going through an experimental trial of hand made leg braces and has come so far in his journey! He is only 4.5 months old, and I want to give him the best opportunity at life and hopefully get some answers so we are no longer guessing at what medications he needs.

The cost is $2695 for the brain portion and adding the spine is an additional $700.
