Pickle's Medical Bills: Filling the Gap

Hello, my name is Gail, but that isn't important. Just suffice to say I am honored to call Janette "Pickle" Kunkel my friend.

Pickle is an amazing human being with a kind, generous, and loving spirit. She is smart and forward thinking, and always gives of herself in ways that most people couldn't even imagine.

For the past 5 years Pickle served as the Executive Director of Camp Namanu where she made lasting positive improvements and has left a legacy of inclusiveness and service. She is also an active volunteer with the Children's Cancer Association where she mentors young children who are faced with cancer diagnoses. She is a mentor because she herself has had to face similar medical challenges. She is currently receiving treatment for both Thyroid Cancer AND Leukemia (a blood cancer). She's managing both of these cancers after a previous diagnosis and treatment of ureter cancer which is now stable.

Janette's job at Camp Namanu recently came to an aburpt end leaving her with no income. Fortunately she is covered by her husband's medical insurance, but even with that, she has monthly out of pocket medical expenses of nearly $900.

To the woman who has given so much to so many, I am hoping her wide and wonderful community will rally behind her to offset her medical expenses during this transition time.
