Pickleball Courts for the Bastrop, Texas Area

Pickleball is a fantastic sport for young and old alike! Over the years, more and more people have discovered the phenomenal benefits of playing Pickleball. In the Bastrop, TX area, our group of players has grown from about a dozen men & women playing on a single, temporary court in 2016 to more than 120 men, women and children playing on four courts using a converted public tennis court. We realized we needed more courts to play on and formed the Bastrop Area Pickleball Association . We recently leased two abandoned tennis courts and have already converted one of them into four, dedicated Pickleball Courts with permanent netting. (see below)

But we need more funds to complete the conversion of the 2nd tennis court to have a total of 8 Pickleball courts. The money raised will be used for expenses relative to building and maintaining Pickleball Courts. This includes insurance, lighting, paint, concrete, netting, fencing and more. Our Pickleball group is an all volunteer (no paid positions) community based group with a deep passion for a sport that builds social connection and healthy living activities. Our members have put in significant sweat equity and the results have been fantastic. Look at what we started with and what we have today!

We're doing something GOOD for the Bastrop Area and with your help we can continue to grow. Please donate so that we can serve the needs of our community. We hope to eventually lease additional adjacent tennis courts and convert those to Pickleball Courts as well.

So why Pickleball? If you play Pickleball you already know! Players enjoy numerous health benefits. In a recent study, playing pickleball has been shown to reduce blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health, and even help people battle depression. It's a very social, inclusive and friendly sport. It's low-impact with high activity. Pickleball is easy-to-learn with an extremely low cost of entry. We provide the courts, the balls and even have some spare paddles to loan new players. If they catch the Pickleball Bug they can buy their own paddle starting at less than $50. It's a sport the entire family can enjoy. Our youngest member is 14 and our oldest member is in his 90's.

The mission of the Bastrop Area Pickleball Association is to encourage and promote the game of Pickleball in the Bastrop area, advance education about the significant health benefits of playing Pickleball, support and foster the development of youth Pickleball in the Bastrop area and advance adherence to the rules of Pickball as promulgated by the U.S. Pickleball Association.

The Bastrop Area Pickleball Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a subset determination as a Public Charity Status 509(a)(2) formed to bring quality, dedicated Pickleball courts to the Bastrop, Texas area! It's Pickleball Y'all! Thank you for your support!
