Hello, my name is Jocelynn Klein and I’m 20 years old. I live on my own with my dog in a very rural area and I’ve been working full-time to support myself. Life has not been easy—I’ve struggled financially this past year while trying to keep up with rent, utilities, groceries, and the rising cost of living. Even though things have been tight, I have been doing my best to stay responsible, save little by little, and work toward a better future.

On the night of October 14th, my life took an unexpected and devastating turn. Around 11 PM, as I was getting ready for bed, I smelled something burning. When I stepped outside to find the source, I opened my car door and was met with heavy smoke—the interior of my car was melting and on fire from the inside. My car had not been turned on in hours. I called the fire department immediately, and my dad came to help, but the damage was already extremely severe. The fire was determined to be electrical, even though there were no recalls or warning signs, and the vehicle had been working perfectly fine.

Losing my car so suddenly shook me. I’ve had terrible luck with cars in the past, and this one finally gave me a chance to move forward in life. I relied on it not just for work, but for everyday survival—living in a rural area means transportation is a necessity. This loss has caused overwhelming stress emotionally and financially, and it has put a serious setback on the future I’ve been working so hard to build.

I am raising funds to help with:

• Purchasing a reliable used vehicle

• Towing costs from the fire scene

• Inspection fees and title transfer costs

• Registration and insurance for a replacement vehicle

• Safety repairs or maintenance needed on a used car

I’m not someone who likes to ask for help, but at this point, I truly have no other option. As a Christian, I believe that God allows struggles so that we may grow in humility, patience, and faith. This has been a difficult situation, but I am trusting that even in hardship, God provides through the love and kindness of others.
