Help us build the Piano Van: music & climate on the road!

Hi! We're Arian and Roberta. We've got a piano, a van, and a big idea.

Who are we?

Arian is a mechanical engineer and street pianist who played everywhere in Amsterdam. Music is his way of connecting with people.

And I'm Roberta. I work in sustainability communications, which means I spend my days talking about the climate crisis and how it affects real people all over the world.

What's our plan?

We're building our "Piano Van" - a mobile campervan that is also our music and podcast studio and reporting hub. Our goal? Drive across the world- at first Europe then America- play music, and share stories about how communities are dealing with the climate crisis with pictures, videos and a podcast.

Can you see it? There is a piano inside the van!

What we'll do

1. Music: Arian will play in cities, towns, and villages across the world. From Paris cafes to markets in Marrakesh, from the Italian Dolomites to the seaside in Florida, we'll bring music to unexpected places.

2. Climate Reporting: Roberta will interview local people about how the climate crisis is affecting their lives and communities. We want to highlight the challenges people face, but also the creative solutions they're coming up with.

3. Sharing Our Journey: We'll post videos, write articles, and share photos of our experiences. You'll be able to see us building the van, Arian playing piano in front of the sea or hear from a farmer adapting to changing weather patterns.

4. Collaborations: We hope to team up with people, musicians, writers, communities and environmental groups wherever we go. We would love to learn from others and amplify their work.

This isn't just about us having an adventure (though it will be ☺️ ).

We believe that by combining the universal language of music with powerful storytelling, we can help people connect with nature, communities and climate issues in a new way.
