Piano Orchestra South Wales: Making Music Fun

Piano Orchestra South Wales was formed in September 2023. We now have over 40 young musicians playing in both our Junior & Senior Orchestras, meeting weekly to enjoy a variety of classical, pop and film music together.
The running costs for the orchestra are high, with regular purchases including pianos, stands, cables, stools and adaptors. The orchestra also requires a good quality mixer & amp for performances.
We would love for these talented & dedicated youngsters to be able to put-on more performances to larger audiences. They work incredibly hard week-in, week-out, and the additional funds would help us not only in purchasing the needed equipment, but in subsidising travel & costs for the young people in the orchestra, enabling us to perform more regularly, bringing the joy of music to new audiences.
We have initially set our fundraising target at £1,100. This would enable us to buy 5 new pianos with stands. This would enable us to open-up the orchestra to more young people, and to also replace any pianos which have become faulty through wear & tear. Should we be lucky enough to reach this target, our next goal would be to raise funds in order to completely subsidise a place in the orchestra for a young person who otherwise would not be able to attend for financial reasons.
