To honor JulieBeth (JB) Golden, Shamrock High School Class of ’82, we are raising money to buy a much-needed piano for the music education program at Druid Hills Middle School (formerly Shamrock High School). JB was a dear friend to many and incredible musician from Dekalb County, Georgia who passed away in 2020. JB had an inextinguishable spirit, a beautiful radiant smile, and shared her musical gifts widely. She was an integral part of the music program at Shamrock High School and deeply understood that music education has an impact that extends far beyond the classroom. Druid Hills Middle School serves one of the most diverse student bodies in Georgia with over 40 languages spoken at the school, and its music program is growing. JB’s classmates and friends wish to honor her legacy by supporting music education now and into the future with the purchase of a baby grand piano (a necessary upgrade from the current very old piano), along with an engraved plaque to honor JulieBeth Golden to pay tribute to her life and legacy.
