Hi, my name is Kirsty and I have created this go fund me for my Dad.

it all started around 5 years ago when my dad was taken into hospital and was in there for 18 weeks. Whilst in intensive care he caught Covid 19 which attacked all his muscles. He had to learn to walk again.

Fast forward to a year later when he fell and fractured his back, the NHS refused to give him physio so he became weak and lost the used of his legs again.

we then applied for carers to come in as it all become overwhelming for my Mum, one of the carers worked so hard with my Dad and got him standing again and this gave him such a lift.

Mum and dad got moved as the property they were in was not fit fie purpose, they have been moved near Worthing to a house accessible for my Dad. ( this was a fight to get) but it was to far for the carer to travel.

I contacted Dad GP and asked for pyshio which we was told there isn’t enough funding. Dad worked hard and could start moving his legs, at the beginning of July 2025 he fell ill and was in hospital for just over 3 weeks, but he got no physio in hospital so all that he had worked hard for had gone.

I contacted a private physio who came and done a assessment of my Dad and have told him there is a light at the end of the tunnel but he will need to have physio twice a week which is costly.

please please can you donate as much or as little as you can so we can give this physio a try and get my dad some independence again.
