I grew up with Polio and have been using a manual wheelchair for mobility for most of my life. Recently, while on vacation, I had an accident involving my right shoulder. The MRI results showed that I had a tear in my rotator cuff as a result of the accident. A week ago (April 25th) I had to have an extensive surgery to repair the damage. During surgery, the doctor noticed that, unfortunately, the tear was much worse than they originally expected. In order to properly repair the tear, the doctor had to put in anchor into my shoulder.
An extensive surgery like this requires at least four months of regular physical therapy, three times a week, to allow my shoulder to heal properly and to regain mobility.
As you can imagine, having shoulder surgery while also being in a wheelchair is a major complication!
It's hard for me to ask for help, but with the unexpected medical costs I am incurring as a result of my surgery, I am in need of financial help. If I could raise $1,750, I would have enough to cover the cost of my physical therapy. This will go a long way in helping me become mobile again.
I am hoping to start physical therapy by mid-May at the latest. If I could have your financial help, this would mean the world to me. Any little bit will go a long way. And if you can't give, 1) pray for me and 2) share this with your friends and family via Social Media.
