Dear friends and supporters,
This January, Phyllis Harmon was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Phyllis also suffered a minor stroke due to blot clots, which complicates her cancer prognosis. This is heartbreaking news and has been tough for Phyllis and her family and friends.
Phyllis is a devoted mother, fiancee, friend, and community activist. Many of you will know Phyllis from her advocacy for the Police Accountability Board. In 2013, Phyllis was brutalized by Rochester police officers in her home. From the incident, Phyllis sustained serious injuries, requiring surgery. Phyllis fought for a Police Accountability Board to prevent what happened to her from happening to others. Her passionate speeches in front of City Council were remarkable and set the tone for the movement.

Phyllis is requesting funds from friends and supporters to assist in paying expenses from her treatment. In order for Phyllis to return home from the hospital, her doctor has requested that Phyllis buy a water heater for her treatment. Phyllis has been living for over 6 years without a hot water heater. In addition, Phyllis wants to go to the Pennsylvania Cancer Institute to receive care from doctors specialized in lung cancer treatment. To pay for travel and housing, Phyllis needs your help.
Please chip in, so Phyllis can afford to buy a water heater and travel to Pennsylvania to receive the care she needs. Enough Is Enough is working with Phyllis to organize this fundraiser. Every dollar will go directly to Phyllis. If 150 people donated $35, we would be able to meet our fundraising goal.
If you’d prefer to make a cash or check donation directly, please email contact us through GoFundMe.
Phyllis has shown so much generosity and care to her family and the community. Please help Phyllis in her time of need.
Sincerely,
Enough is Enough (on behalf of Phyllis Harmon)
