On behalf of the Phyllis Harmon family, Enough Is Enough is fundraising to purchase a headstone for Phyllis’s grave site in Riverside Cemetery.
Phyllis Harmon was a beloved leader in the struggle for the Police Accountability Board. A survivor of violent policing herself, she was an outspoken advocate for survivors in the pursuit of justice against the brutality of the Rochester Police Department.
In March 2020, Phyllis died from medical complications. Due to the COVID pandemic crisis, her family could not purchase a headstone for her grave at Riverside Cemetery. With a headstone, family and community members will be better able to locate and visit Phyllis’ grave, which is currently unmarked. Enough Is Enough is setting a fundraising goal of $1500 to be given directly to Phyllis's daughter for the monument's cost.
Please help us get a monument for our friend, family member and fellow organizer who was essential to the struggle against racist oppression in Rochester.
