Donate to help with funeral expenses

My name is Tara, and my mother, Barbara G. Christensen, passed away unexpectedly and sooner than we ever anticipated. My Dad and the rest of our family are devastated over the loss of the light that was the center of our family.

Our Mom was diagnosed with a chronic form of leukemia two years ago, just at the start of the pandemic. In April this year, her cancer progressed to an acute form of leukemia that was much more aggressive. She had been hospitalized for a few weeks beginning in April, being recovered enough to come home just after Mother’s Day. Her respite didn’t last long, and just nine days later, she was in the ICU with a serious bacterial infection. Although the infection was able to be cleared, and she was moved out of ICU, the cancer reared its ugly head and was too much for her to overcome. She passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Our family has been overwhelmed with an outpouring of love following the unexpected death of our beloved mother. Many have asked how they can help our family during this difficult time. One way you can help is to continue to pray for peace for our dad and the rest of the family. In addition, if you are able to make a monetary contribution, we ask that you contribute to the funeral fund so that we can lay our mother to rest in the manner she requested.
