Phuong's Memorial Fund

Hi everyone,

Let me first begin by telling you about my cousin, Phuong.  She is 35 years old, soon to be 36 on February 14th.  She is married to her husband, Dan and has three beautiful children with him: Haylie (13), Ryan (5), and Owen (10 months).  Anyone who knows Phuong would describe her as beautiful, hard working, generous, LOVING, kind, and creative, but the list is endless.  She has a TREMENDOUS heart and is such an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, and cousin.  These wonderful traits about Phuong are what makes her current condition so devastating for all of her loved ones. 

To fill you in, Phuong was admitted to the hospital with severe migraines and fevers.  The doctor initially diagnosed her with meningitis (inflammation of the membranes protecting the brain and spinal cord).  Last week, her symptoms were fluctuating and she was told that she had a good chance of being discharged this past weekend.  However, she underwent cardiac arrest and is now currently intubated (connected to a mechanical ventilator to assist with breathing) and unresponsive in the ICU (intensive care unit).  They are trying to figure out the best treatment for her as of now. 

Her clinical picture took a dramatic turn but we continue to pray for her recovery.  Dan, her husband, is obviously under an immense amount of stress with the consideration of Phuong's recovery and taking care of their three children; we know that we can't take away the suffering that is occurring but hope to help reduce some of that as much as we can.   We all know that medical bills and childcare can be COSTLY.  We kindly ask that you please donate to help cover these accruing expenses.  All donations would go directly to Dan and his family.  No amount is too small.  If you cannot donate, please share on Facebook and/or Instagram to help spread the word.  Above all, PLEASE pray that Phuong makes a speedy recovery and returns home to her family.
