Hi Everyone,
My name is Wesley and with heavy heart I’m writing this GoFundMe section about the passing of my father, Phuc Lap Lang. As of yesterday, August 31st, my family's household size went from 4 to 3. It happened so suddenly. None of us could’ve anticipated this. He was always a cheerful, respectable man that I’ve looked up to all my life. He was my hero. At around 4:00 PM that day, my sister found our father lying on the ground next to the couch. 911 and the paramedics were called. They spent half an hour trying to revive my father before pronouncing his time of death.
My father was a great man and I'd really just like to take this opportunity to describe what kind of person he was and how much he meant to his family.
Phuc Lap Lang was a loving brother, husband and father. He was the guy I could always count on whenever things went wrong. He always had that smile on his face. If he ever went through any hardship, we never knew; he never let it show. He would always take it upon himself not to trouble anyone else. That’s the kind of man my father was. My father had always shown and given us an immense amount of love and support, and we will always be forever grateful to him. Whenever I wanted to do something, he would never question it. I am where I am today because of my father, my hero, and I could not be more proud to be his son. There is not a single time that he did not support me and my family in what we wanted to do. We were able to dream big because of him. There are no words to describe how much this man meant to me and my family.
He took it upon himself to take care of and had always been the sole provider for his family. With the passing of our father, we are not only having to mourn his death, but also think about our financial circumstances in disarray. The money that we raise here will go towards my father's medical bills, his funeral, our mortgage and ultimately help our family in this time of dire need.
They say you never really know what you have until it's gone. I never really understood what that meant until the moment I lost the most important part of my world.
