I am raising funds for my daughter and her husband who have had an unexpected illness with their son Alekzander.
Zander is 2 years old and just a week ago
came down with MIS-C which is a rare infection that develops when the body has mutated the Covid virus. He is currently being transferred to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indy where he will receive a more intense treatment then what he is currently getting, which is IVIG treatments. Right now they are trying to control the swelling in his hands, feet, legs and eyes and watching for blood clots. Three main arteries are dilated and they are also watching to make sure he does not develop aneurysms in any of the dilated arteries. He’s had a fever that they are continually trying to control and we are praying that with this more aggressive treatment at Riley’s his fever and the swelling in his body will completely go away.
Shane and Leah have not been able to work since last week and unfortunately Shane will not receive pay for this time he needs to stay with his wife and son. Even with the insurance they have through Shane’s employment the cost of the hospital stay, both ambulance transfers and treatments will be substantial. Please consider donating to support Leah and Shane as they try to get through this together and get Zander back to his energetic all boy self.
We are heartbroken that he will not be home celebrating Christmas with us this year, but we have pulled together to draw strength from God and healing in Jesus name. Please stand with us in prayer for healing and strength.
