Help Sarah's Fight Against Cancer

After months of scans and tests, on June 21st 2024 I was diagnosed with metastatic papillary thyroid cancer (stage tbd). I had been struggling physically and mentally with undiagnosed symptoms, with a very swollen lymph node that was dismissed by my doctor at the time. Thankfully because of the program I am in, I knew better and I knew I had to advocate for myself. I feel blessed I am in the position I'm in, as a radiation therapy student, because going back to school and studying cancer quite literally saved my life..but now i'm on the other end of cancer treatments, which is not something I pictured.

However, living as a full time student with cancer has been challenging. I was already unable to work much due to my school schedule and severe fatigue, and now I am unable to get a temporary job during my break because of my appointments and surgery. With doctor appts, scans, lab work, surgery, further treatment, the meds I will be on the rest of my life and tuition payments to top it all off..it's all adding up and I'm barely making it by. I have never asked for handouts, it's legitimately painful for me to ask for help, but I have no other option right now. I don't expect much but literally anything would help to ease my financial pressure, so I can focus on beating this and finishing my degree.
