Hi Fam. Ok, so I have a bit of stuff to unload, and I require some assistance from my friends and community. As you know, I speak openly about my Autism and accompanying mental disorders, on my platforms.  I do it to normalize these things, and to keep a conversation going- so in light of that- I need some help. Over the course of the last year, my fight to keep my head above water mentally , has reached a level of triage, that try as I may to counteract it , continues rise, and has reached a level where, my usual routines and efforts are no longer effective.

I have run the gamut of SSRIs, and benzodiazepines. I exercise daily, and lift heavy weights, I have been committed to therapy once, and sometimes twice a week for the last 3 years. I am committed to these routines and practices as an integral part of my existence- and I have quite literally required them to live.

Unfortunately, things have reached a point, where, even with my greatest efforts, they are not enough. I have reached a point where I can no longer rely on them to keep me safe. This state has had the gravest effects on my work, and my ability to support myself, my ability to be an attentive parent, friend , partner, human. I need a new approach, and I need it quickly.

This brings me to my point-

I am seeking a lifeline through ketamine therapy. It feels a bit like a last hope, and I am desperate to keep this fight going. I have included some links below, for those that are not familiar with this life-saving therapy.

Ketamine therapy is not covered by insurance, and I cannot afford it. Which brings me to my big ask. However, I don’t feel comfortable asking for things without giving something in return.

So, plainly, yes, I have started a GoFund Me to ask for “donations” toward this therapy, so that I can continue to do my best to be here for my family, but more importantly, for myself.

I cannot ask for something for nothing, so here’s what I am proposing:

Any donations towards this cause will be met with a mini-photo shoot. I will come to your house (assuming you are local-ish to me) or meet you, or whatever, for a socially distanced, quarantine photoshoot, of your choosing. Family, pets, plants - whatever. Need family pics for holiday cards? Boom. Want to do something weird and dystopian? Done.

Name your game. I’ll spend 30-40 minutes doing a shoot of your choice, and you will receive 5 edited digital images to do whatever you want with.
