Hi, my name is Johnny Barrett.
After 14 1/2 years behind bars, I came home and couldn't do the simplest things—I didn't know how to use a smartphone, apply for a job online, or hail an Uber. Everything I needed to rebuild my life was on a device I didn't understand.
That's why I started NUconnextions, a nonprofit here in Gallatin, Tennessee. We put phones in the hands of men and women coming home, help with rides and housing, and make sure there's someone to call when it gets hard. Connextion is where reentry starts.
Right now, we need $1,000 for two things: more phones for people coming home in the next few weeks (about $80 each, phone plus service), and our virtual registered agent address so the nonprofit stays in good standing with the state.
Every dollar goes straight to the mission. If you've ever gotten a second chance, help us give one.
Thank you, Johnny B.
