Phoenix Tattoo & Highland Games, Arizona 2023

The Isle of Skye Pipe Band have been invited to play at the Phoenix Tattoo & Highland Games in March 2023, an opportunity of a lifetime for many of the band! We are now looking to undertake various fundraising ventures and exploring sponsorship/funding avenues with a GoFundMe page being one of them.

The trip is expected to cost the band approx £30'000. We are a community group that plays at various functions, highland games, agricultural shows, etc, throughout the year. From June to September, we play in Somerled Square, Portree, every week to entertain the locals and visitors to the Isle of Skye.

The trip will be a great opportunity to promote Skye, Scottish traditional music and of course, the Gaelic language. We see this as an opportunity to be ambassadors for Skye, our music and our culture.
