Hello all, my ~cancer journey~ is coming to a close, and I'm excited to live out the next chapter of my life. Previously: in January, I was diagnosed at age 33 with stage 3 of a rare kind of colorectal cancer, after 3 separate hospitalizations starting at the being of December, finally ending with a bowel resection and a colostomy.
Unfortunately, getting biweekly chemotherapy treatments for 6th months has really taken a toll on my body. I finally had to step away from work after treatment 11. I had already been working reduced hours (meaning less income) since I came back, and still have lingering debt from when I was only able to work a few days in between hospitalizations in December and January. Insurance luckily has covered a lot of my bills, but there are still costs. I have COBRA from my insurance at work but it's crazy expensive, so I'm applying to get on Medicaid, which can take ?? to go through. My body, mind, and spirit really need some time to rest and recover and rebirth after all I've gone through since my first hospitalization in December (before we even knew it was cancer!)
I'm going to re-build stronger than ever, and even a few buckeroos would help, or even if you could share.
In Light and Life,
-A
