Safe Vehicle for Phoebe & Medical Bills

Donation protected

Juvenile Dermatomyositis, a pretty rare illness, was recently diagnosed in my daughter Phoebe, who is nine years old. Dermatomyositis juvenile. Or JDM typically affects three children out of every million. It results in difficulties that affect the gastrointestinal tract, mobility, skin rashes, muscular weakness, and other issues. An intensive course of steroids and intravenous immunoglobulin, or IGIV, infusions are used to treat it.

My kid presently travels more than four hours to Children's Hospital Milwaukee to see the nearest pediatric rheumatologists in the state of Wisconsin. I am a single mother of five little children. Due to her type 1 diabetes, Phoebe's sister Rose also needs intensive medical care. The illness, transportation, and emotional strain have been physically & financially devastating to our family.

I'm doing this GoFundMe campaign to raise money to get Phoebe a safer and more accessible vehicle. Phoebe currently needs to be physically lifted into our old Toyota van. I want to purchase a newer, more accessible vehicle that is lower to the ground. It is not feasible to continue lifting my child in the future. My outdated van likewise has serious wiring issues and occasionally won't start. For Phoebe and her sisters, we need something safer.

I ask for you to please think about contributing to this fund or sharing the post with others who might be able to assist. My family and I am really appreciative to anyone who would consider helping us during this time. If you have any questions at this time, please feel free to ask them. Thank you for your time and consideration.
