Joey's Bucket List Adventures

My name is Michelle Kruis and I am starting this campaign for Joey Pizzurro. I have worked for Joey for 7 years as one of his caretakers. Joey is 31 years old. He has a neuromuscular, debilitating disease called giant axonal neuropathy. This is a progressive disease similar to ALS. He is totally wheelchair bound and is on a full-time ventilator. GAN has taken a lot of body functions away from Joey, but it has not broken his spirit for adventure. Unfortunately, Joey's brother Mike passed away from complications of GAN in December of 2013; he was only 30 years old.

Joey has been wanting to travel to Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and other US cities. These are just a few places he wants to visit on his bucket list. After much research, careful consideration, and prayer, the family has decided to invest in a wheelchair accessible (WC) Class A RV. This WC accessible RV can carry all of his extensive medical equipment including an electric hospital bed. This RV will be Joey's home on wheels.

This RV is a huge expenditure for the family. The money raised will be used to purchase additional accessories needed such as a tow bar,  modification to install an electric hospital bed inside the RV, and travel expenses (fuel, campsite fees). 

GAN has created many challenges for Joey, his parents, and two sisters,  but they always have had a positive outlook on life inspiring many people along the way.   Lets make Joey's Bucket List Adventures a reality!  

Life is too short. We never know what tomorrow is going to bring, so it's now or never.
