Friends,
This is 16 year old Julissa (Julie) Olvera. She lost her life Sunday morning in an automobile accident. Julie’s mom Adrianna came into our lives as our part time house keeper when our sons were high school. We became immediate friends and we care about her and her family deeply. Adrianna lost her first child, a baby boy as a stillbirth so to suffer the loss of another child is beyond comprehension. Adrianna and her husband have three surviving children, Bryan who is 17, Ulmayra 12 and Danny who is 3. Adrianna’s husband works in West Texas as a granite cutter for a counter top company and like so many is now out of work.
They hope to lay Julie to rest near her baby brother. There is a spot available but the cost is far beyond their means. I can’t fathom the other option they face if they can’t afford to bury their daughter.
Julie was very bright, sweet and caring. Rob and I always thought she would grow up to become an attorney.
Every parent holds their breath each time their teenager gets into a car with other kids. We hope they use good judgement and yet we know they are still children. If you can help with any amount we would be so grateful. If you know of others who might be inclined to help, please share Julie’s story. The Olvera’s dreams for Julie are now shattered. Maybe together we can help them piece together a proper ending to a sweet little life.
Thank you from the depths of our hearts,
Phylecia and Rob Bare
