To know Tom is to love Tom. Many of us have been touched by his humor, kindness, and willingness to help others. He is a friend to many and a friendly face to all. Even more important to him and his identity is that he is a husband, a father of four, and a grandfather to many. One that supports, loves, and holds on dearly to his family in the good times and the challenging ones. Tom has a long history of being hard working, self sufficient, and generous to family and friends. He is now humbly asking for help and support.
On February 3rd, 2024, Tom was skiing with family in an annual tradition to celebrate his wife’s birthday. During this event, he was involved in a skiing accident that shattered both of his heels, requiring ten days in the hospital and enduring two long surgeries. Through all of this change, pain, and discomfort he has kept a smile on and a positive attitude. Even this tragedy can’t keep him from lighting up the room and making those in his presence feel his warmth and love.
Tom has a long road to go for recovery. He is currently confined to a wheelchair for the next three months and a minimal extra month of rehabilitation after that. As many of us know, Tom ran his own business. One that requires energy, strength, and flexibility. All of these are hampered by the recovery. At this time he is unable to work and there is a possibility of his ability to ever be able to return to this line of work in the future as an appliance technician.
Tom is a self sufficient and humble man. However he also knows when he needs to ask for help from those around him. At this time, he needs help. His goal is to raise $27,027.00 to aid in his recovery and to provide financial stability for his household. Please consider supporting Tom in his recovery journey. Many of us have been on the receiving end of his generosity of time, funds, and friendship. We thank you for your time and consideration.
