Lisa Phipps and her husband Chris are two amazing people that I have had the privilege of knowing for many years  . Lisa and I met when her family moved to Clovis when we were 12 or 13, and we were best friends for years. When she left for Humboldt State, within a couple months she had met the love of her life, Chris. They married and have two awesome kids. They finally moved up to Healdsburg, CA, where they got a home, as Lisa described as “almost off the grid”, and that Lisa named “Finamont”—which she explained as “Finally, my mountain!”

Last night, sadly, they lost everything (except the chicken coop and chickens and pigs, who thankfully are also fine and fostered out) to the Walbridge Fire in Sonoma County (Part of the LNU Complex Fire). They are in shock—Lisa said everything they own is in carry-on luggage. This has been a hellish night and day for them. I am so thankful they are safe and well. 

We are raising money for them—there will be many out of pocket expenses, deductibles, etc .  I just want to help them with this. I can’t imagine anything more terrifying than having to grab belongings, loved ones, pets, and fleeing the flames. Let’s help them feel supported and loved through this. Please do what you can.
