It is with great sadness that I have learned that one of our Jiu Jitsu brothers has been diagnosed with cancer. Albert Phipps has been an inspiration to many of us. He just recieved his brown belt and I can tell you that he truly is an inspiration those who know him. Phipps, as we call him, never missed a class and studied Jiu Jitsu with more passion than anyone I have ever met. He always been there for me during my ups and downs during my Jiu Jitsu journey. He is my age but I have always strived to one day reach the point he has in his journey. Now he is fighting for his life against cancer. He is a fighter and I know in my heart that he can beat this! Please join me in helping out a Jiu Jitsu Brother in need! One thing I have learned and love about the Jiu Jitsu community is the brotherhood. It doesn't matter if we know each other but when we get on the mat we are facing a brother even if that person is someone we hardly know. I ask that help out our brother. Any little bit will help. Help Tap Out Cancer!
