If you’ve ever had the chance to meet Phin, you’ve experienced the depth of his soul and the gift of natural healing he bestows. This kid is pure magic, through and through. I am his 3rd human, and all 3 of us (his moms) have been so priveleged to be his keepers. He has seen us all through challenging times, lonely times, and scary times. He has been our safety, our comforter, our protector, and our companion through many moons. He is special.
This past weekend Phineas was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure and has been in and out of the regular vet, the emergency vet, and the holistic vet. He is now a mere skeleton at 8.3lbs and we are doing our best to keep him eating at all in order to give him the energy to begin to heal himself. Now, before you come to conclusions...The vet has clearly stated that there is possibility of him recovering from stage 4 and moving into a much healthier state. I am giving him reiki every day and his other mom has been doing the research on herbs and medicines to make him feel better. He is on the mend, even if that means just for a little while.
Phineas has made it very clear to me that his “work in the world is not done yet” and would like us to continue finding ways to help him feel better, even if only for a short time. He is a wise soul that has guided us through many lifetimes and we choose to honor his wishes and the knowing he has for his own body. He has emphasized that the time remaining together must be “quality over quantity” and we feel the same.
The hospital bills have already cost me over $2500 and as many of you know, I’ve been without a job since March due to COVID. We are just hoping for a little help, whatever you might be able to contribute at this time, in honor of Phineas and with the hopes of keeping him as healthy, happy, and hearty for his time remaining here with us in his now-tiny kitty body.
