Hi my name is Becca and I have been in the Arcangel family for over 11 years. Their youngest daughter is my best friend, their oldest daughter is my second sister, the parents are my second parents, and the grandparent are my grandparents. Phil has been a second dad to me all those years being just a call away when I needed anything and never surprised when I just show up out of the blue but instead offering me a plate of food or giving me a preview for his next show with the latest song he has been working.

Phil recently suffered a brain hemorrhage caused by an aneurysm and has been in the ICU recovering from surgery for 2 weeks. When I got the call that he was going to the emergency room I didn’t question dropping what I was doing to go sit by his family’s side as they waited for any news. He had to be airlifted to a different hospital to receive the proper care and I drove there to sit with his family until we were told we had to leave. Phil suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes so hearing this news was scary for all of us. He has been making great recovery so far following voices with his eyes and rolling his eyes at terrible dad jokes. I personally am waiting for him to get out of the ICU so I can fill him in on the new discoveries of our latest crime story obsession and pester him about playing my favorite song at his next gig.

This family has been there for me in more ways then I can count and I want to do something for them. We are unsure how long Phil will be out of work for but know that the hospital bills are racking up by the hour. I am creating this fundraiser to help reduce the cost needed to cover the ambulance bill, the helicopter bill, the surgery bill, the IV and medication bill, etc. I am creating this fundraiser to help reduce the cost of his recovery including physical therapy, occupational therapy and acute care. I hope that I’ll be able to give the family something small for all the things have done for me and hopes that he’ll pull out his guitar and play the same as he always has.
