The new picture is Phil and his son Jose. Phil is planning a trip to see his son in Costa Rica, but that takes some money. Phil is working around his cancer treatments in Pennsylvania, but he has enough time between treatments to make the trip and spend some time with his son. Jose is a good, maybe great soccer goalie, he plays on one of the top teams in Costa Rica and Phil will be able to see him play professionally for the first time if he can make this trip. Those of you who have children will know how important this trip is to both of them. Phil has been struggling to make a living for a long time, but he always finds a way to make sure Jose had what ever is needed to achieve his goals. Please help Phil to make this trip happen.
Phil is hanging in there, but the chemo is taking its toll, the power of these drugs doesn’t just kill the cancer it basically is trying to the patient at the same time. I am asking to help me with some more money so Phil can eat good quality food, put gas in his car so he can get to his medical appointments. He is still doing paddle repair to supplement his very small social security check. A few of us have been helping Phil and I am asking you to help some more. His medical prognosis is very crappy, so please help me to give him a little brighter days. Whitewater boaters, one of us needs a helping hand. Phil Coleman, one of those original boaters whose roots in the paddling community are long and deep, is now in of your help.
Phil is now on his second type of Chemotherapy, a newer harsher chemo. He is fighting for his life, and still living his life. Because of your support Phil was able to visit his son in Costa Rica and was with him one his 18th birthday. He’s back in Ohiopyle now, dealing with the new chemo and repairing paddles.
If you helped Phil earlier please be helpful again. Help me to spread the word to others out there, my social media skills are poor at best so please help with spreading awareness. Phil is truly fighting for his life now. He has a great attitude and knows this is a fight to extend his life.
