I have had the pleasure of being Phil’s mom (AKA his BFF) for almost 4 years now. When I first brought Phil home, he was very overweight, and had to lose half of his body weight. After working extremely hard, Phil was able to hit his goal weight! His medical needs remained fairly minimal until late 2022. Abnormal routine senior bloodwork led us to further diagnostics where it was discovered that Phil has a mass which is either a liver carcinoma, or hemangiosarcoma. It was also determined that Phil has DCM and a grade 2 heart murmur, which makes further testing challenging. He is currently on chemotherapy and his oncologist is treating it as a liver carcinoma based on the low growth rate. The funds raised will go directly to Phil’s medical bills. We cannot thank you all enough for the support along the way. Phil is so lucky to have the best group of people cheering him on!
