Phillip's Journey
Donation protected
Philip started having leg pains, followed by swelling with redness and red lines going up his legs in early October. 2 different hospitals, each doing an ultrasound, could not find any blood clots. The 3rd trip to the ER, no blood clots were found, but they also did a CT scan to see why his stomach was cramping so much. The CT scan revealed cancer spots on his liver and lungs. After a biopsy was done, stage 4 pancreatic cancer was confirmed. He stayed in the hospital for 5 days. Once discharged, his swelling and redness started coming back, this time was worse. They made the trip to MD Anderson ER, where they found blood clots almost instantly. We really think God had his hand in the situation on the early ultrasounds, but unfortunately the outcome was still far from what anyone had hoped for. Neither Phillip nor Jerica have been able to work much since October because Phillip has been in and out of MD Anderson. He has been admitted for almost a month now, and with the new year comes new deductibles to be paid. Phillip and Jerica also have 3 beautiful young children ages 11, 6, and 4. As I'm sure you can imagine, the financial burden of medical bills in addition to bills they had before is starting to take its toll. Please consider donating to help offset this burden, as well as help them prepare for any expenses that have yet to come, as Phillip has no life insurance plan in place. Even the smallest amount will help, no amount is too small. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support!
