Jim & Joanie Phillips Fund- Providing Medical Help

Since July 2020, Jim has been undergoing treatments to stop the growth of cancerous brain tumors. While the treatments have slowed tumor growth, Jim needs to seek advanced treatments.

Jim has been under the care of Mayo Clinic. While he will continue with Mayo on their treatment plan that is covered with insurance, Jim will be participating in an advanced cancer therapy through the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas beginning this summer.

Established in 1977, the Burzynski Clinic has grown to be a nationally and internationally recognized cancer center that provides cutting-edge cancer treatments. Fundraising and Joanie and Jim’s personal savings will be the only way to participate in this treatment.

The costs of the advanced treatments are substantial. We are asking you to give what you can and to look at ways you can expand the giving network. This means asking your friends and family if they are able to even give a little. Remember a little number times a little number is a big number.

Jim’s 26 years of school social work have made a great impact on his community and the education of youth. He has given so much in time and talent to his community. He looks forward to continuing his work in Fall 2023.
