Phillip Shein passed away on 8/14/21 from complications of Covid-19 and he battled this virus until the end. He was a loving husband, devoted father to his stepson Logan and our daughter Sara, and loyal to a fault to all his friends. He dedicated his time as youth football coach for the GEYF-Spartans so he could coach our son Logan. He coached so many young athletes and was lucky enough to watch them grow up and be come excellent football players. He formed bonds with so many Spartan parents who are still very near and dear to his heart. He was a fanatic when it came to basketball and our daughter Sara. If you know Phil, you know what I mean!! He had a special way of connecting with people. He loved to encourage and lookout for everyone’s kid. He would say “we’re family”.

He had developed such great friendships along the way from Spartans , to BUA, , Fresno Heat, to our Cal Storm family, you all know he’s about the kids!!

Phil was a dedicated law enforcement officer with CDCR-Parole. He had a tight net group of officers that he would consider as his brothers. He was so looking forward to retirement in 2023!!

if you met Phil and he considered you a friend , then you know what a special man he was. Our hearts are broken and our family will never be the same.
