Phillip Mitteldorf needs our help.
This site is being set up for our good friend Phillip Mitteldorf and his wife Tonya. If you know Phillip but haven't been aware of his condition the past three years then I hope you will go to caringbridge.org and look up the story of his ordeal where Tonya has regularly posted updates on his condition (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/phillipmitteldorf ).
Today I noticed the post (copied below) by Tonya and, with her permission (Phillip wouldn't have agreed) I set up this site to make it a little more convenient for those of us who know Phillip to help them out with Phillip's medical expenses. All funds collected from this site will go to Phillip and Tonya but for the fees charged by gofundme. If you want to make a direct donation that can be done directly to Tonya's sister and you can contact me for the address. If anyone wants to contact me please don't hesitate to do so through this site or my facebook page. I really hope the UCSB Zeta Kappa alums (and anyone else who is inclined) can take care of this in short order and take one less thing off of Phillip and Tonya's mind.

Sir Phillip Wants to be Home.
As you know, Phillip has been managing stage four cancer for over three years. He's weathered chemotherapy, liver biopsies, too many other medical procedures to mention, hospitalizations, and travel to and from MD Anderson in Houston to participate in a clinical trial. He requires oxygen 24 hours a day, is still receiving chemotherapy.... AND, as always, his amazing mind is clear.
Unfortunately, after 3 years, 2 months and 22 days, our Medical Expense Fund is running dry.
In the past four months, Phillip has spent more time in hospitals than he has at home. He wants to be home, which now requires full time care. Consequently, we are raising funds to pay for home caregiving and assistance.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by March 31st. If you'd like to help and make a donation towards Phillip's care: please send your gifts to my sister:

POST SCRIPT - I have not felt good since I posted this (an hour ago). I am uncomfortable asking for help. The fact of the matter is – I have been up most of the night caring for Phillip. Checking his vitals, adjusting the oxygen, helping him move, go to the bathroom. Now, this morning, he needs, meds, food, clothes, a bath… OMG - I am overwhelmed. I need to hire someone as soon as possible. AND the financial hemorrhaging that has been going on around here is just as painful to him as the cancer. Phillip needs help."
