It is time. This is the beginning of farewell.

Those of you who know me on a deeper, more personal level will know this isn't news. However, I am choosing to put this into the universe publicly on my social media platforms:

I will be leaving america.

The Black american experience is very specific; draining. I no longer wish to remain in this country. The spark in motivation and inspiration I once had when moving to NYC (14yrs ago) from Atlanta, GA, is gone. Moving abroad is something I've long dreamed about. It has always been inside my mind, my heart. The tip of my tongue has long burned for departure from these borders

That time has come.

I am hoping to establish community here with any help, advice, and/or connections available to me. I've no idea how things will happen, but they must. This is uncharted territory and a new journey for me. I'm going to do everything in my power to push through this newness intentionally. 

I've set up this gofund.me with hope. I've never done this sort of thing, but I wouldn't ask for help or assistance if I didn't need it. Please, if you are so moved, only give what you can where you are able. These funds will ONLY be used in my transition out of america to seek a life abroad. Trust that. Donate as much and/or as many times as you'd like.

I am giving myself a 2yr deadline due to my current NYC situation, but the end of the year would be ideal. I want to be smart about this, so I'm availing myself the intentional space to make the right steps forward. Please feel free to share this far and wide.
