Funeral For Phillip John Bruce

Donation protected
As many of you will know we suffered a devastating loss not only to my family but to our community too after my brother was killed in an RTA involving a vechile that was shortly before hand in pursuit of the Police. My mum lost her son, me and Callum lost our big brother, Jenna lost her Fiancé and our community lost a big friendly giant.

Our Phillip had the biggest smile, the loudest belly laugh and one of the most colourful personalities that could light up any room. His heart was so big, his spirit so playful, living a colourful life filled with fun, laughter, and mischief. He always made the best of a bad situation and nothing in life kept him down for long! His resilience and his happy demeanour was definitely something to be admired. He was a beloved son, a loved fiancé and an even more amazing big brother. He was a nephew, a cousin, a grandson and I collectively speak for a lot of people when I say he was a good friend to many. He was Honest, He was Kind and He had the biggest and most purest hearts you’ll ever come across. Phil worked as a kitchen assistant at a care home in Buntingford for Individuals with Dementia and he delivered food orders outside of this for the likes of JustEat and Deliveroo.

Phil is a much loved member of a disability group “Always Bee You” which enabled him to do exciting trips out and make a wonderful bunch of friends which then allowed him to make always bee you a home from home, yet another family. He spent a lot of time with his group and wherever he was His Fiancé Jenna of 19years was never too far behind him. They were inseparable and my heart goes out to them too.

Phil was due to go to a concert the weekend of his death, Reggaeland 2025. On August 1st 2025 He finished work at the care home, baked a cake that he was so so extremely proud of, he went off to do his delivery job..picked up his bus pass from his friends house and then on his way home due to an RTA we unfortunately lost Phil sooner than anyone could comprehend.

Our brother lost his life to a careless, uninsured, unlicensed driver who then left him in the road to die. Phil was the least deserving person that something like this could have happened too. Phil deserved to be surrounded by the people who he loved-and that loved him not left to die on his own.

We absolutely want to give my brother the send off that he deserves. Undoubtedly Phils death has left a big empty hole in the lives of all who knew and loved him and with it being unexpected we would appreciate any donations towards giving our Phillip the send off he deserves, it doesn’t have to be a big amount, whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go towards Phil having the send off he deserves and Phil to have a place of Rest where his friends and his family can still come and see him.

We will update you with funeral plans as they commence.

My family would also like to take this time to say thankyou for all the genuine people who have sent there condolences and that have respected our privacy throughout this time.

Rest In Eternal Paradise Phil.
We love you so so much.
