Phillip Coleman Grade 4 Aggressive Brain Cancer
Donation protected
If you know Phil, you know what a genuine, good bloke he is. Phil has worked for NCI for 4 years and is loved by us all.
3 weeks ago Phil had a persistent pain in his arm and not feeling 100%. After brushing the pain off for a few days and the pain not subsiding, he attended the doctors for a check up. Over the next few days and multiple tests and scans; Phil, Jo and their girls found out the shattering news.
Phil was diagnosed with brain cancer and would be operated on three days later.
The main aims of the surgery was to remove as much of the tumor as possible and to test what was removed to determine the type and stage of cancer.
The surgery was successful to some extent removing 70% of the tumor, but sadly the diagnosis is grade 4 aggressive brain cancer.
Phil will now undergo 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy to help slow the growth of the tumor.
Phil and his family have been told there is no cure and the prognosis is uncertain.
As you can imagine the coming year will be time for Phil to focus on getting as well as he can and spending valuable time with his beautiful family. Whilst Phil would love to return to work this is not possible for some time, if at all.
In true Phil style he has told Jo he will be here for many years to come. This is a true testament to Phil’s positive nature and shows the strong mentality he has towards his battle ahead.
Phil and his family have approved this go fund me (while being their humble selves and never expecting this) to be set up and will receive 100% of donations to help them through this difficult time.
We know Phil has a huge network through both his work and personal connections and we hope this is a way everyone can get behind Phil and his family to show their support.
