Computer Lab for Filipino School

During my travel through Coron I was fortunate enough to visit a highschool. I thought I was just there to look around, but very quickly I learned that this is a place that I could make a big impact on very quickly and easily. I realized that the life and blood of this school (and many others in the philippines, if not all) is by the teachers and staff. They are the ones funding the chalk, pencils, chalkboards, and everything else the school may need. I found a play ground with no toys.. not even a single ball. There were class rooms with no electricity or doors. Some mornings they have to get the animals out of the classrooms before they can begin school, To top it all off, I found a computer lab with 45 computers that have yet to be turned on. They were fortunate enough to get the computers but haven’t been lucky enough to be able to use them . The computers have been sitting for one year without ever being turned on because there’s no air conditioning and it’s too hot out for them to be used.
The funds I am raising are to install air conditioning in the computer lab. I will be personally be in charge of any funds and overseeing this project to assure that these means get utilized as planned. I will be returning to this region in May to get the work done right in time for the new school year ( begins in June) so the goal is to have a new computer lab for the start of the new school year.
I am looking to raise $1,500 USD. This money will be used to upgrade electrical on building including rewiring and adding new breakers plus the cost of air conditioner and installation.
Your donation would go directly to this project. I personally intend to see this project through to the end. I am asking for your help because I feel like we can all agree that this unused computer lab is really sad and prohibiting these children from further learning. I’m asking for your help in any way possible. There is no dollar amount too small. Please help me raise the little money needed to get these kids a working computer lab.
