My name is Jonalyn, Friends and Family also calls me Jojo. I am raising funds for a mission trip to the Philippines that has been in my heart since I received a prophetic word years ago. For a long time, I wasn't sure when or how this would happen, but this summer, God opened the door for me to go next year. I have not seen my family since 2008, and while visiting them will be an added blessing, the heart of this journey is to serve in ministry with YWAM in Metro Manila. Please note that any expenses related to visiting my family will be covered by me personally and are not included in this GoFundMe.

Growing up in the Philippines, I experienced firsthand the challenges of poverty after my father passed away. My family and I lived in a squatters' area in Metro Manila, struggling daily for basic needs. As I learned about the YWAM base in the slums of Metro Manila, where they minister to children and families living in extreme poverty, my heart was moved. The base serves those in a place called 'Smoky Mountain,' a landfill where families have lived for generations, finding their next meal in the trash. YWAM Balut also reaches out to students and families, offering Bible studies, prayer, and hope to the community—including Bible studies with moms in the community, which I am especially excited to be part of.

I believe this isn’t the only trip. As I stay obedient and position myself where God calls me to be, I trust that it will open up even bigger opportunities in the future—not just for me, but possibly for others from our church as well. With God, everything is possible.

My hope is that God will use me on this trip to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus, bringing hope and joy to those facing difficult circumstances. The funds raised will help cover my airfare and travel expenses, my stay at the YWAM base, and meals during my two-week mission. I would also love to bless YWAM Balut in a tangible way, beyond just my own efforts. More than anything, I ask for your prayers—for safety and protection during travel, smooth process and connections, fruitful ministry time, and for God's anointing to be evident above my own efforts. Please also pray for my husband and children while I am away. I am deeply grateful for every contribution and every prayer. May God be glorified in every way.
