Philippines Mission for Children
Donation protected
Hello my Brothers and Sisters in Christ and friends. My name is Harry Conner. I am a retired, 70 year old Business Management professional and Christian. On April the 10, 2016 I moved to Manticao, Misamis Oriental, Philippines to do the work of the Lord, to care for the widows, the orphans and the elderly. We now provide healthy, filling and nutricious meals to over 1,400 children, each month, in 16 different feeding locations in Manticao, Lugait, Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City, where I now live. We conduct these feedings in concert with the ministries of Pastora Mayjune Catubig, Pastor Eric and Pastora Estela Boysillo and sister Honey May Booc.
James 2:15-17 NKJV
15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
The Philippine Mission for Children is designed primarily to help feed the needy and hungry children in Misamis Oriental Province on the big island of Mindanao as well as the surrounding, more remote villages. I have undertaken this mission in concert with the Manticao Assembly of God Church and Pastora Mayjune Catubig and Brother Reynaldo Catubig. We now serve more than an average of 2,200 meals per month and we have provided school supplies to more than 350 children; bought 120 Bibles for adults with no Bible; and we provided a Christmas gift of either a 16 count box of crayons or a pair of flip flops to over 825 little ones.
I do what I can to help these wonderful and loving people. He has called me to do all I can to help to feed the hungry children and to provide what basic clothing I might be able to with your help. I have purchased my own ticket here and I support myself here with my Social Security. I, like so many of you, and by no means wealthy or even 'well off'. My Social Security is sufficient for my needs and living expenses here. I am not asking for anyone who is struggling themselves to assist. I am not asking for you to 'miss' a contribution to your church or another worthwhile charity to assist me. And, I do not want you or any member of your family to do without your needs to assist me. If you are blessed financially and if you can help I can only tell you that it will be used in a worthwhile Christian mission. It will go directly to help these precious children hungry and in need; and hopefully widows and elderly who are also in desperate need.
Regardless of whether or not you can contribute financially I ask for your prayers for this mission. I ask for your prayers for the children, the widows and the elderly. I ask for your prayers for the Manticao Assembly of God Church and Brother and Sister Catubig, Brother and Sister Boysillo and the Biga Great Commision Ministry and Sister Booc, and for me. And each of you will be blessed for your prayers for this effort.
You will be able to monitor our progress both here and through my facebook account, Harry Conner, or via my facebook 'ministry', Fellowship Mission of God's Children.
May God bless you one and all. My most sincere thanks for your assistance and prayers.
