Typhoon Relief Fund-Liloan, So. Leyte Philippines
Donation protected
On December 16 Typhoon Rai/Odette swept through Philippines, leaving behind a trail of devastation and a severe emergency that warrants considerable humanitarian aid.
The town of Liloan in Southern Leyte, where I grew up and where my family still resides, was virtually flattened, where thousands of its inhabitants escaped death but survived to face a situation of nowhere to find shelter or food and water.
This fund is established to assure 100% application to provide food, water, temporary shelter, blankets and any needed medical supplies.
This is the season of compassion and charity towards those who are less fortunate than us. I hope each of you who read this can find a way to reach out to this Philippine community.
Any monetary or in-kind support is welcome and greatly appreciated.
