Philip Wilmott’s Funeral, Memorial & Support Costs
As many of you all know it is with great sadness that I announce that on the evening of Wednesday 13th May, Philip Wilmott husband to Anne-Marie Wilmott, father of sons Christopher and Anthony Wilmott and daughter to Emma Wilmott, grandfather to two precious grandsons and father-in-law of mine peacefully passed away.
Phil had been fighting Lymphocytic Leukaemia, Heart Failure and Kidney Disease for a number of years. While he'd been genuinely well enough to live a great life right up until the end, he sadly lost the battle but he was very comfortable at home surrounded by family and his beloved pets.
Phil was well and truly loved by so many people in the Stafford community, he was a brilliant, hilarious, kind-hearted man who was still cracking out his jokes right up until the end. Many would of known Phil from his iconic Roadrunner discos, a DJ on Stafford FM, a taxi driver who drove the much loved party bus, community link transport driver, and most recently even in his medical condition his last job, where he absolutely loved working as a domestic assistant at Erwin Hymer Travelworld Motorhomes.
Phil truly touched the hearts of many with his great personality and his love for Motown and Northern Soul. The purpose of this gofundme is to help maintain the loving memory that Phil deserves and help raise support for the upcoming funeral costs, support for getting Phil's estate in order, support for his beloved wife and to also raise money for a wake once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, as unfortunately due to his on going medical condition over the last decade, he was unable to have any form of life insurance and has no pension/state pension.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday 27th May at 1:00pm but unfortunately is reserved to immediate family due to Coronavirus, however when we lay him to rest we would love for anyone who loved Phil to attend we only ask that anyone attending follows the social distancing measures that are currently in place.
This will take place at Stafford Crematorium between 1:20-1:30pm.

To meet GoFundMe's guidelines we are required to transparently provide various pieces of information to prevent fraudulent fundraising campaigns.
Anthony Wilmott and Anne-Marie Wilmott are the intended recipients of the raised funds. Anthony will be the Beneficiary in the GoFundMe's fund withdrawal system as he is planning the funeral and remaining funds will go to Anne to help support herself and to get Phil's estate in order.

£6,500 for funeral costs, headstone, plot, flowers.
The remaining funds will go towards a wake in the future and to help get Phil's estate in order. Any additional funds raised above the goal will be to help support Anne.
Once the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted we will share additional information regarding a wake to celebrate the life of Phil Wilmott.
