I really never thought I’d have to do this again after losing our son 10 years ago to melanoma cancer. This is our second gfm attempt only this is for my loving husband of 41 years who now has larynx cancer. Philip Wilkins has worked hard all of his life to take care of his family and due to the economy we had just moved to a friend’s house to work on a new business strategy. The gate business was taking a toll on my husband at 61 years of age we knew we needed help, unfortunately after moving all of our belongings into storage and in our new tenants home, tragedy struck. In the two months of the move, my husband was losing his voice, his energy and 86 pounds.

We were just discharged from being in the hospital for 25 days having test, biopsies, trach and feeding to put in with many surgeries to go, Needless to say we are still in shock looking at about 2 to 3 years tops bearing no complications or pneumonia.

In the midst of this hospital stay our one and only vehicle broke down on highway and then totaled by a hero unit. So currently trying to get back and forth to appts by bumming rides. So we are moneyless, carless, all of our belongings are in storage and we have a place to stay for the next 5 or 6 months. What we are asking for is a chance to fix a car someone has offered us, keep paying our bills, medical expense, find us a very small affordable place while we are waiting for Phil’s disability can kick in while we going back and forth to chemo and immunotherapy.
