Philip Osborne Memorial

We as family and friends of Philip Osborne are raising funds to give to his family to help them due to his unexpected passing.

Please see below the message his father and mother sent in memory of their son.

It is with a heavy heart that Jan and I have to announce the sad passing of our youngest son, Philip, on Saturday, July 11th.
We are devastated and are struggling to grasp how this could happen to our beautiful boy. He suffered a cardiac arrest and was not found until irreparable damage was done.

He was revived but we had to say goodbye to him today.

Words cannot describe our loss.

As most of you know, Philip was a force of nature, his boundless energy and enthusiasm was infectious. He stuffed a lot of living into his 34 years!

He was a loved son, brother, and friend and will be sorely missed.

He played rugby like he lived his life - at full throttle. He was part of the initial high school team the Tucson Badgers then played four years with Old Pueblo Lions. Upon his move to LA he had four stellar years with Santa Monica playing for the Southern California All Stars.

In 2015 he moved to London and played a full season with Wimbledon RFC in the National 3.

He had a varied and interesting career in sales, marketing, and project management. His last job was with Armor Construction and its seasonal nature allowed him to pursue his passion of world travel.

He visited friends and family and made new friends wherever he went. Last winter his travels included Dublin, London, Capetown, Perth and Sydney.

Although the youngest of our boys, he was never afraid to take the lead and be heard. He worked hard at keeping in touch with everyone.

We love all our boys and as they grew up they have become our best friends. This loss is hard on everyone. I believe Philip is already up there smiling and telling us to get it together and get on with it. We will continue in our own way to make the world a better place in his name.

Just remember to give your kids a big hug and tell them you love them because life can throw some hard things at you.
We have donated his body and organs and I know some lucky person is going to be running around with a pretty big heart in a few days!!

He will live on in everyone’s collective memory! How can you not forget the “big unit”!

When you look up and see a shooting star you can bet that Philly will be hanging on its tail riding it and having the time of his life.
We love you!!
