Hi, my name is Ivy and I'm Philip's eldest sister. He unfortunately passed away on 12th October 2024 after becoming ill with pneumonia, sepsis and endocarditis, at the age of 23.
For others in his daily situation, it would've felt like the world was against them, but he plowed on through with a smile everyday. He wasn't aware that his learning difficulties, autism and other medical issues made him different from his peers. He was an absolute beam of light in the life of anyone he met, and like the Earth revolves around the sun, mine and our mum's life revolved around him. Whilst we raised him, he shaped us in a way no one ever could, and him passing has left a silent void that can't ever be filled. There are no words that can truly describe Philip, he was a person you just had to meet.
Due to his care needs, our mum and I found that the only jobs suitable to fit around our days, is minimum wage and part time hours. This means that we've never had a rainy day fund, and right now is a downpour. Our goal is to raise the funds to pay for Philip's funeral and wake.
Any help is very much appreciated, thank you for reading Philip's story
