On September 24th 2025 our beloved husband, father, and friend Philip Lagus tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and co-workers heartbroken.

Philip’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband and a proud father to his young daughter, and everything he did was for them. His love, dedication, and laughter filled their home, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot capture.

Philip was also a valued member of the CN Rail family since 2012. Over the years, he worked as a Trackman, Machine Operator, Extra Gang Foreman, and most recently as an Assistant Extra Gang Foreman. His co-workers knew him not only for his skill and hard work, but also for his kindness, loyalty, and willingness to help others. To those who worked beside him, Philip wasn’t just a colleague he was a brother.

This fundraiser has been created to support Philip’s wife and daughter as they face the days ahead. All proceeds will go directly to them to help ease financial burdens and provide stability for his daughter’s future.

While nothing can replace the husband, father, and friend we lost, we can honor Philip’s memory by standing together as his family, friends, and CN brothers and sisters to ensure his loved ones are cared for.
