On April 2nd, 2021, our beautiful hero, Philip Baker passed away peacefully. He fought hard until the bitter end leaving behind his mother, Christine Baker, sister Amy O’Wade, brother-in-law Donald O’Wade, nieces Isabella and Savannah, family and friends. Philip was a true inspiration to those who knew him and touched many lives. He was a man who had a passion to fight through life and smile through the difficult times, no matter the circumstances that were thrown at him. His smile and laugh was contagious and he was truly filled with life. 

Philip was born with a rare disease called Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome. Due to his disability, he was unable to care for himself. My aunt, Philip’s mom Christine Baker has been Philip’s sole caretaker for 50 years of her life, which inhibited her ability to work. We are asking for donations to help support our family with funeral expenses. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to a charity for research of Philip’s Lesch-Nyhan disease.
