Philip (31) for intensive therapy after a brain haemorrhage
Donation protected
My name is Charlotte and I am raising funds for my 31 year old son, Philip, who suffered a spontaneous and devastating brain haemorrhage on 7 February 2025, aged just 31. He had a large portion of his skull removed, was in a coma for 8 days, and is now conscious but has potentially lost ever having a normal life again.
Philip - who was an excellent golfer and financial services professional prior to this - cannot speak or move his right side, and is waiting in hospital for a place in a NHS rehabilitation centre.
Most progress is made in the first weeks following a haemorrhage/stroke, and precious time is passing while he is waiting to start his rehab.
I am appealing for funds to pay for Philip to go to a private rehabilitation facility to give him the best chance of a good recovery. The cost of private rehabilitation facility is around £5,000 a week, and Philip will need a few months of treatment, at least.
Philip is a kind and caring young man, who himself spent 2 years living with and caring for his elderly grandmother before she passed away recently. He is a loving son and brother, and favourite uncle to his nieces and nephews who he always finds time for. He also has a loving and loyal girlfriend, who has been by his side every day since this horrific event.
He is in the prime of his life and I am so grateful for anything you can give. Please help my son - he is too young to lose the best years of his life and future. Thank you so much.
